Independent Study

Independent Study Contract Information 

    • Any student who is going on a planned 3-15 day(s) absence may request an Independent Study Contract.
    • It is important to note that students with an IEP do not qualify for an Independent Study Contract, unless it is stated on the student's current IEP that it can be offered. To inquire more on this please reach out directly to your student’s case manager.

    • At least a week’s notice, preferably sooner if possible. Both teachers & staff need an adequate amount of time to gather all necessary materials. 
    • Example: Parent contacts the Registrar on Tuesday to inform of independent study request, packet will be ready the following Tuesday.  

    • It is up to the student to stay on top of their school work, that includes emailing their teacher(s) when assistance is needed.
